Welcome to Clayton-le-Woods Church of England Primary School website. Here you can get a snapshot of who we are and what we do!

Our school is one-form entry with our own Pre-School. We have 218 delightful children in our school family. We are situated in the beautiful Cuerden Valley with extensive school grounds comprising of three playgrounds, an Early Years outdoor area, a vegetable garden, outdoor classrooms, mud kitchen, large field and our own wooded area on site. We have a dedicated team of experienced teachers, support staff and Governors working in partnership with parents and carers to create a thriving Christian community.

We aim to provide the highest standards of education within a happy, caring and stimulating environment. Our mission statement underpins everything we do, ‘Together we inspire one another to live life to its fullness, rooted and built up in Christ, so that every member of our school community can learn, develop and flourish, to live in the world as the unique individuals God created us to be.’ We have an ambitious and inspiring curriculum which enables our children to develop and embed the skills and knowledge needed to flourish throughout life and to achieve their potential.

Nurturing good emotional health and well-being in everyone is high on our agenda. All our children are included and valued in our secure, loving environment and we have high expectations of behaviour based on respectful relationships and our Christian values.
